General.

The  work  procedure as  given  herein  are  to be  applied  for  installation  works  of  formwork  for  concrete works.  They  hae  to be  followed  up  in line  with  the  guideline as  given in  the  references  above.

 

Material.

In  order  to achieve  a  flush  concrete  finish  the  formwork for  structural  concrete  will be made  from  9 mm  Palywood  with  a  wooden   support  structure   with  sufficient  support  intervals  and  structure  dimensions.

For  pratical  concrete works  the  formwork  will be  made  of  Meranti  wooden  forms  supported  by practical  support  constructions  of  Maranti wood  also.  The  supporting  structure  underneath  of  the  formworks  are  generally  consisting  of  30mm X 70 mm dimension  wood bars at  intervala  of  1 M in the  longitudinal  direction unless otherwiase specified.

 

Storage  of  Material.

 

The  placement  of  the  formworks  prior  to  concrete  pouring  will be  done  in such  a way  as  to avoid  movement of  the  formworks  during  pouring.  For  this  ppurpose  beams  and  retaining  walls  will have  to  be  locked  inti  position.  Positioning  will be  done  by  use  of  wooden  framework as  supporting  structure.

 

Tolerance.

 

The tolerance  in  the  final  positioning  of  the  formworks  shall be  +/1 10 mm.  After placing  of  the  formwork but prior  to  concrete  pouring, levels  and  straighteness will be  checked by  use  of  string lines.
